Ingredients for 4
- 4 Sadia Crumbed Chicken Wings
- 4 Sadia Crumbed Chicken Drumsticks
- 600g mealie meal, cooked
Tomato & Onion Gravy
- 30ml oil
- 1 onion, peeled and diced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- ½ green pepper, diced
- 6 tomatoes, chopped
- 5ml paprika
- 3ml cayenne pepper
- 15ml sugar
- 180ml water
To Serve:
- Fresh parsley (optional)
- Red chilli, sliced (optional)
Preparation
- 1. Cook the Sadia Chicken Wings & Drumsticks according to the packet instructions.
- 2. For the tomato & onion gravy, heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion and garlic over a low heat for 5 minutes. Add the green pepper and tomato and cook for another 5 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 – 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3. Spoon the mealie into serving bowls and top with the tomato & onion gravy. Serve with the Sadia Crumbed Chicken Wings and Crumbed Chicken Drumsticks. Garnish with parsley and red chilli, if desired.
– Shallow fry the patties in hot oil until golden brown.
– Serve with your favourite dipping sauce.
